The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Questers and Planners tables.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
